By this time the BRM chassis was a little long in the tooth. Talented young designer Tony Southgate joined the team and produced the P153 then the P160 chassis that put BRM back into the winner's circle when Pedro Rodriguez won a close battle with Chris Amon in the 1970 Belgian Grand Prix at Spa.

Italian Grands Prix, courtesy of Jo Siffert and Peter Gethin, and then Jean-Pierre Beltoise scored what proved to be BRM's final win in the 1972 Monaco Grand Prix.
Emerging Austrian Niki Lauda turned in some encouraging drives to launch his career with BRM in 1973 after a promising spell with March, but he quit for Ferrari and at the end of the following year the Owen Organization withdrew its support.
The final chapter Louis Stanley tried to keep the team afloat but it all fell apart in 1977. The P207 chassis was late getting ready and neither Conny Andersson nor Teddy Pilette could qualify it and Rotary Watches
withdrew their sponsorship.
