The Turner Prize

Do you know a modern mass produced car takes about twenty five hours to travel the length of the assembly line to emerge as a
showroom bound car?. As a contrast it takes about two hundred hours to hand assemble a Lamborghini Diablo.
If dedication to the task is measured in assembly hours then Roger Turner is devout , for his Sherpley Speed 6 took 1,100 hours of
painting, polishing , overhauling, reconditioning, assembling, testing and refining.Of course, it need not have taken that long, but Roger just loves making things and making them well. The time spent and the degree of perfection he strives for is immaterial , as it's all part of his enjoyment of the task.

If he had a sticker on the back of the speed 6 , it would read
" My OTHER CAR IS A WESTFIELD " which Roger campaigns in the Welsh Hillclimb Championship. So why a Sherpley ? , In respect of
performance it's bags-of-effort driving demands are as different from the wrist-flicking responses of the Westie as it is possible to get, but, says Roger ," that's exactly the point ". He just loves the stark contrast and the fact that it is a car the whole family can enjoy.
