show hall so it was a bit of a panic to unload the cases from the cars and then get the cars into the show hall by 9 O'clock. I think most of us went without supper that night, although some found the local firewater more than adequate recompense.
Our accomodation was in the Vinkeloord Holiday Park next to Autotron. Each couple had a self contained chalet with all mod cons and with breakfast provided in the restaurant. The two sites were only about 10 minutes walk apart (unless they had locked the gate btween the two parks (or failed to open it) in which case you were faced with the choice of an hour and a half walk or climbing a 8 foot fence surmounted by
multiple strands of barbed
wire - no contest!! or for the really lazy you had a bus service with 10 seater charabancs modelled on a 1920's style. Most of us were up early on the Saturday morning to clean the road grime off the cars and get ready for the show to open at 10 o'clock.
Those of us without hangovers that is. The show was in a large hall with galleries around all four sides and with a lift access. Unfortunately this is where we were put which meant that we couldn't get the cars out until the show was over on Sunday night so we missed the trip around the Dutch countryside on Sunday morning.
