Hopes were high for a title challenge the following year, but Jordan
unwisely sacrificed reliability in an effort to get among the leading
runners. Frentzen was dogged by mechanical problems
and managed only 11 points.

Despite interest from Jaguar, Frentzen has opted to stay put for 2001 because Jordan has landed a works Honda engine deal.
